Challenge is an action-packed weekend put together for young adults who are in high school. It is offered to young men and women separately, who are at least 15 years of age. It begins at 6:00pm on Friday evening and ends on Sunday around 6:00pm.
Challengers are asked to bring their own sleeping bags (or bedding), pillow, toiletries and spending money for the canteen. If you play an instrument, you are encouraged to bring it as well.
It is important that we receive your application by the deadline indicated on the form. Since there is a limited number of spaces available for each weekend, applications will be approved by a committee of the Challenge Executive. Your acceptance will be acknowledged by e-mail or telephone as early as possible.
The weekend is run by team members your own age with the help of some adults. They make all the preparations, spend the weekend with you, do the cooking and clean-up and whatever else is necessary.
Others are invited to take part in the weekend including a Priest, Sister, single person and married couple. They are there to talk with and listen to you. Some of the talks and discussions deal with the following topics: marriage, sacraments, the reality of Christ in our lives, Christians in service, sexuality, approach to man/womanhood, etc. The theme of the weekend is the message of joy, love and the Spirit of God. Fun and recreation are part of the weekend especially during the skits and singsongs.
